Susan Meeske's Biography
Susan Meeske graduated from Hastings
College in Nebraska with a degree in Broadcast Communications
and Public Relations. She
was active on the nationally-ranked speech and forensics team,
served as Vice President of the Student Body and honored as one
of the top ten seniors for academic and leadership achievement.
Susan started her career at Walt Disney
World with a college internship and decided the bright lights
of Orlando may have more to offer than the cornfields of Nebraska.
She worked at Disney in sales and was selected as an instructor
out of 300 applicants to teach the new employee orientation
program called “Traditions” which
teaches company history, corporate culture and Disney’s
rigorous customer service standards.
She spent seven years at Universal Studios
working in brand marketing and corporate sponsorship. She developed over
$100 million in national television and print advertising campaigns
with Coca-Cola, Discover Card, Dodge and Wendy’s Restaurants.
In 2000, her work with Universal Studios and Dodge was featured
in Brand Week magazine as the top grossing co-marketing campaign
in theme park history. Susan has her MBA from Rollins College,
which is ranked the #1 Florida business school by both Forbes
and US News and World Report.
Susan joined the Leadership Difference
in 2004 as the Director of Client Relationships. The Leadership
Difference is an organization that specializes in corporate
training and “enter-train-ment” working
with clients such as Sub-Zero Appliances, Allstate Insurance
and Lennar Homes. She also uses her expertise in
communications and marketing to facilitate classes along with
Dave Mitchell, the founder of the Leadership Difference.
Susan
now lives in Denver with her husband and two sons, Keaghan and
Moses. Her active involvement in the community has
included serving on the Rollins College Alumni Board, being a
member of Junior League and a five-year stint as a coach for
a kindergarten basketball team. She currently volunteers
with the non-profit organization- Colorado Youth at Risk and
has been a mentor for four years and sits on their Board of Directors. |
